Challenge

E.ON E&P (Exploration & Production) wanted to convert its archive and document management system to EMC Documentum. The complex, undocumented functions of the existing solution represented a challenge. The following points had to be taken into account in the project:

• Various requirements of specialist segments in various countries
• The availability of data even in areas with poor communication links (data had to be temporarily available even without the Internet)
• High security standards
• Simple operation

Solution

On the basis of EMC Documentum, Prime Force designed and developed a solution with EMC Webtop and MyDocumentum for Microsoft Outlook. The solution guarantees access to relevant data even in areas of poor communication links such as drilling platforms or isolated test drilling sites.
